Art Workshops Kintsugi Workshop - Sunday August 17th (2 - 4pm) - Artists Studio, Kahutara

Kintsugi Workshop - Sunday August 17th (2 - 4pm) - Artists Studio, Kahutara

$120.00

Kintsugi Workshop: The Art of Golden Repair

Spend a relaxed, creative afternoon in my sunny Kahutara studio, learning the beautiful Japanese art of Kintsugi – the practice of mending broken pottery with gold. More than just a repair technique, Kintsugi is a philosophy that celebrates imperfection and the beauty of resilience.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process of repairing a ceramic piece, honouring its cracks and flaws as part of its unique story. Have a treasured item that’s been broken? Bring it along and we’ll help you give it a new lease on life. If not, there will be pieces here for you to work on.

All materials are provided, no prior experience is needed – just bring your curiosity and creativity. We’ll pause partway for a delicious afternoon tea, making this as much about connection and enjoyment as it is about learning a beautiful skill.
